Indira Denis, BSN, RN, is a highly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced registered nurse with more than twenty years of nursing experience in various areas of patient care (pediatric nurse, medical surgical, observations and home care). Indira currently works for one of the most well-known and established hospitals in South Florida, Baptiste Hospital. Prior to joining the Baptiste team, she worked at Emory in Atlanta, Georgia where she served as a wound care champion for four years. Such an experience instill in her the love of teaching so much so that she now serves as a preceptor for Baptiste’s new graduates. Indira’s desire to shape future leaders as well as impact both her immediate community and world at large stemmed from her passion in volunteering. As a volunteer, Indira traveled frequently to numerous islands, including her homeland Haiti, to assist with medical care when needed. Indira believes that it takes one person to make a difference and therefore ensures that everyone that comes in contact with her has a positive experience. She ignites the passion of individuals to serve their community by firstly serving as role model as well as providing leadership opportunity grow.
